With a little help, you can afford a place of your own

Make It HAPPEN is short for “Homeownership Assistance Program Partnership Established Now.” It's part of Carter Bank's commitment to help more families and individuals become homeowners.

Through an Affordable Housing Program operated by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta, we help eligible families obtain grants as funds are available for down payments, closing costs, loan principal reduction, and other homebuying costs.

Who is eligible?
  • First-time homebuyers
  • Currently employed or retired law enforcement officers, educators, health care workers, firefighters, other first responder and essential workers
  • Veterans and active-duty military, or surviving spouses
